This 2-day practical course was developed with a focus on decision-making in an equine orthopaedic emergency situation to equip veterinarians from mixed and equine practice with the required knowledge and the practical skills to examine injured horses and to carry out state-of-the-art therapy. The management of acute and chronic wounds, including skin grafting techniques will also be covered. The 7 hours of practical sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to develop their practical skills in small groups (2 – 4 attendees) on the following stations: Splinting & Casting Techniques; Wound Repair Workshop; Joint Lavage Techniques; Skin Grafting Techniques; Case Discussions – Difficult First Aid Cases & Wound Challenges presented by attendees.
